Laura Baudelet discovered very early on in music a language that would never leave her. Trained as a pianist and admitted to the Lille Conservatoire at sixteen, she also pursued her passion for literature in the French classes préparatoires, then with a master's degree in Literature and Arts at the Sorbonne. She then chose the stage, which brings together her two loves: music and theatre.

She was awarded her singing prize at the CRR de Paris, then perfected her art with Montserrat Caballé, Marina Viotti, Ramón Vargas and Elena Gabouri. Today she continues her vocal work with Marie-Cécile Martin, and her stage and mental preparation with Caroline Hurtut.

Winner of the first prize of the Kaminsky Foundation in Berlin, the audience prize at the regional final of the Voix Nouvelles competition at the Opéra de Lille, the Winterreise prize in Moscow and the first prize of the Maîtres Sonneurs in Toulouse, she performs in France and abroad.

She has sung Fiordiligi at Neumünster Abbey in Luxembourg, Sybil Merton in the world premiere of Alberto Colla's Delitto e dovere at the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto and the Teatro Coccia in Novara, Donna Elvira and then Alcina in Vendôme, Violetta at the Più di Voce festival, Lià in Debussy's L'Enfant prodigue in Honfleur, and Marie and Madame Tell in Grétry's Guillaume Tell at the Opéra de Reims. With the Lab'Opéra de Courbevoie, she has portrayed Giulietta in The Tales of Hoffmann and Marguerite in Faust.

She has also been heard as Rosina with Opéra Nomade Junior, notably at the Opéra de Tours, as Nadia in The Merry Widow at the Théâtre Raymond Devos in Tourcoing, and as soloist in the Requiems of Mozart, Fauré, Saint-Saëns and Haydn. In 2026, she sings Liù in Turandot in Paris and Sylvabelle in The White Horse Inn.

For Laura Baudelet, being an artist is not just about performing. In 2022, she founded the Minuit Opéra company, which brings opera into dialogue with theatre, literature, illusion… and even wine. There she has created Les 7 Péchés capitaux, Les Petites Misères opératiques and In Diva Veritas, the latter with sommelier Philippe Faure-Brac.

Opera is a living art, able to surprise, to move and to reach every audience.
